How can you wash genuine sheepskin slippers?

Slippers are reliable companions every day, so it is important that they
always remain hygienic. Shearling slippers perform extremely well in
this regard, as the lanolin they contain simply repels dirt and dust
particles. If you leave the shoes outside to air out for a while, they
will even clean themselves! Just make sure that the fur is not exposed
to direct sunlight for too long, so that it does not become hard or lose
its color. If stains have already formed and dried, they can usually
still be removed quite easily. It is best to use cold water and a
pH-neutral soap. This allows the stains to be gently brushed out. But be
careful not to get the shoes too wet! You can also clean the lining
with a vacuum cleaner.

Important: What to avoid

Although lambskin is quite robust, it should not be cared for in the
same way as synthetic fibers. If you want your fur slippers to retain
their good qualities for as long as possible, there are a few things you
should avoid, namely…

• …soap or grease-removing agents

• …the washing machine

• …the dryer: simply let the shoes air dry (but not in direct sunlight).

Can sheepskin slippers be made fluffy again?

Yes! After wearing them a few times, the lambskin may become a little
matted and less fluffy. However, you can use a fur or grooming brush to
separate the hairs and make the fur soft again.
